Great location on the lake. All sites have a view of lake. Restrooms are clean and have showers.
Do not camp here if you are trying to enjoy the Austin, San Antonio or Gruene Hall after dark. They will not allow you in after 10 pm. Having plans to see a show on a weekend night, the gate attendant (rude beyond reason), explained that we cannot enter the park after 10pm. Both of us being disabled, we would have to walk the 1/4 mile to our camp sight from the gate. My other half uses a cane, not good. Grass hasn't been mowed, about a foot tall at our camper. Leaving my truck at the gate all night sounds risky. Having camped all over the country, this is the 1st USACOR Park, actually the 1st campground ever that does NOT have a keypad at the gate to allow people in after hours. I feel like our weekend is now ruined because we have a " curfew ", being treated by the USACOE like a grounded 15 year old.
A clean quiet park. Great staff as with all COE parks. Water and electric with central dump station. $13.00 per day with senior pass.
Great place to camping
Gate attendent is by far the rudest most disrespectful I have ever encountered at this park in the 20 years we have been staying in this park. Apparently he is too busy to answer any questions. We drove 2 hours to attempt to stay here and he was unable to offer a single answer to availability question. Thanks will not consider returning.
